As the Workday Security Global Process Owner at AstraZeneca, you'll be the pivotal force behind the management, improvement, and governance of our Workday and HR application Security Model. Accountabilities:

As the Workday Security Global Process Owner, you'll own the end-to-end management of the Workday Security model. Your responsibilities will include overseeing processes related to security access, controls, and risk mitigation. You'll proactively see opportunities for improvement, refine access protocols, and ensure all changes are thoroughly assessed for impact and benefit. Collaborate with HR teams, HR IT, and business partners to lead the design, approval, and execution of security model changes. You'll also approve all security access requests, driving continual improvement in processes to improve collabrator experience. With a focus on AI Security Governance, you'll guide access to new tools and technologies.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Ownership and ongoing development of the Workday Security model and associated controls.

  • Evaluating the impact of proposed changes, identifying risks and opportunities, and making recommendations for strategic enhancements.

  • Leading implementation of model or process changes, partnering with HR, HR IT, and other relevant collaborators.

  • Owning and approving Workday Role Security requests, ensuring both compliance and process efficiency.

  • Identifying, leading, and accomplishing continuous improvement projects relating to Workday Security requests, approvals, and assignments.

  • Monitoring effectiveness of security design and controls, proactively addressing emerging risks.

  • Acting as the key point of contact for global process issues, audits, escalations, and collaborator queries related to Workday Security.

  • Assessing HR Compliance with Security related Enterprise Data Standards

  • Ensuring all Workday Security processes are well documented, communicated, and compliant with relevant regulations and internal policies.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally bring:

  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience of Workday Security configuration and governance in a complex, global organization.

  • Proven ability to analyse complex security requirements, assess risks, and design fit-for-purpose controls and access processes.

  • Experience leading process improvement projects and driving operational change across multiple geographies or functions.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience, particularly partnering with HR and HR IT. Ability to effectively consult with differing levels of management.

  • Deep understanding of HR processes, compliance, and risk management in relation to HR technology.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to translate complex requirements into simple, actionable solutions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills—able to influence at multiple levels and navigate ambiguity.
